Classrooms & Facilities
The Office of Information Technology (IT) staff has experience using many computer applications and acquisition tools associated with instructional media development and deployment in the classroom and online. Our department will be happy to assist you in becoming proficient in using these tools. We can assist you with the development, effective design and delivery of multimedia content using presentation software such as PowerPoint. A wide and expanding variety of other integrated multimedia development tools for classroom and online presentations are available as well. The software tools available include editors for photographs, audio, video, screen capture, motion graphics and more.
During the summer of 2008, High Point University upgraded its facilities to bring faculty and students the latest in classroom technology. Currently, HPU has over 80 multimedia classrooms in addition to over a dozen computer labs available to faculty who incorporate instructional technology into their teaching.
In order to make a reservation for a facility on campus, please complete an online facility request form. NOTE: Several of the labs are managed by different departments on campus.
As always, faculty that encounter technical problems while teaching a class are encouraged to contact the Office of Information Technology Help Desk (Ext. 9147) immediately.
